Wk 5 Final Paper

Paper is on Clinic Renovation.

Before starting with this final assignment, please (a) complete this week’s readings, (b) review the weekly lecture, (c) review grading rubric, (d) read the 8 Simple Rules of Good Writing, and (e) review the PRM300 Week 5 Final Paper Template from your class. It is highly recommended that you use grading rubric as your checklist to ensure every element is included in your final paper.

While a five-week course barely covers the full range of responsibilities of a project manager, it should have given you a solid perspective on what does it take to manage a project. Now that you have a basic understanding of the project management life cycle, it is your turn to share what you have learned.

The Project Management Final Paper needs to include screenshot examples and explanations of project selection form, project scope template, work breakdown structures (WBS), and the Gantt chart created in prior weeks. Be sure to update these examples based on: (a) any new criteria presented in these instructions, (b) any feedback you received on the previous assignments, (c) any knowledge you obtained in the class, and/or (d) any additional information you obtained during your research so that your final paper can reflect project management best practices.

    • Create a work breakdown structure (WBS) in the ProjectLibre or modify the example you created in week 3, incorporating both instructor and peer feedback (as applicable).

Deliverable 7 – Strategic Sales Plan

Competencies

  1. Distinguish between traditional, personal, and strategic selling.
  2. Create a strategic sales plan.
  3. Apply customer service skills before, during, and after a sale.
  4. Describe the key functions of managing a salesforce.
  5. Apply management strategies to a business-to-business (B2B) salesforce.
  6. Select appropriate software platforms for sales management and customer relationship management (CRM).

Scenario Information

You are one of the founders of a family-run business that offers bookkeeping for small businesses in your tri-state area. Your business has been level for many years, and you have a strong, healthy relationship with your clients. Many of your clients have been with you for over 10 years, and your new clients almost exclusively have come from word-of-mouth promotion from current, satisfied customers.

You want to expand the services you offer to include payroll and accounting beyond bookkeeping. You have heard from your current clients that they need assistance with those two services for their business to grow, but you have been hesitant until this last year. In the last 18 months, you have a family member that has passed the CPA exam and remains a vital employee. She has expressed interest in being more involved and leading the payroll and accounting business, but she is not very well-versed in sales.

Your sales staff has historically been the family, plus the bookkeeping staff. Your main job at the company has been in customer relations and hiring. There are 4 family members working full-time (including the new CPA), as well as 3 bookkeepers. You have 27 business that you consider your main customers, and you have about 2-3 new customers every year or two. There is also a natural attrition of about that same amount every couple of years as well.

Instructions

As the co-founder and managing partner of your business, you are in charge of this new project. You will be the primary researcher, and you have decided to present a comprehensive strategic sales plan to the other owners, the new CPA, and the bookkeepers.

As managing partner you have decided to create a strategic sales plan to share your findings and the proposal using a PowerPoint presentation. Before presenting, you will share with the other co-founders using a PowerPoint with detailed presentation notes to mimic your narration for their approval. Your goals will be to expand the services you offer to current customers, and to create a prospecting list of new customers that can use the full bundle of services you can now offer.

You decided it will be important to include the following:

  • Introduce the launch of the new payroll and accounting services to the employees emphasizing the selling style you expect to implement.
  • Outline how the sales program impacts personnel needs and the employee hierarchy. (For example: Will you hire a dedicated sales staff?)
    • Identify management strategy/ies being implemented to meet the goals.
  • Explain the structure of the sales compensation plan.
    • Incorporate how you will compensate the bookkeepers that help convert current customers to the new bundle of services.
  • Emphasize the role of customer service.
    • Express the value of customer service for this expansion.
    • Integrate the use of communication and psychological expertise and problem-solving skills.
  • Explain how customer data will be collected and shared.
    • Include your recommendation whether a CRM system needs to be purchased and integrated for your business to grow and for information to be shared with the full team.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate the success of the sales plan.
    • Incorporate both qualitative and quantitative.
    • Evaluate lead generation and sales conversion.

PSY 352 -3.2

Laypersons are often unaware of the extent to which memory errors (including memory of events that did not occur and memory distortions) are commonplace and widespread. The purpose of this assignment is to make you think of not only memory errors in real life, but also the reasons behind their occurrence. Consider the steps listed below:

  • Read the “Adaptive Constructive Processes and the Future of Memory” and “A Range of Memory Possibilities: The Challenge of the false Memory Debate for Clinicians and Researchers” articles, which offer an overview of memory errors and their origins.
  • Keep in mind that your textbook is another valuable source of information regarding memory errors.
  • Select a case mentioned in a news article where memory errors have been known or can be assumed to have occurred (e.g., eyewitness testimony, instances of recovered memories of traumatic experiences, etc.).
  • Describe the main features of the errors, their consequences, and their possible sources (i.e., what are the features of human memory that make the errors possible?).

Engage your critical thinking skills:

  • Explain what cognitive psychology suggests that people do to decrease the occurrence of the memory errors that you discuss in your paper. If these errors cannot be avoided, what does cognitive psychology suggest that people do to prevent the often damaging consequences of such errors?
  • Note that statements regarding the inaccuracy of human memory, and strategies to decrease the occurrence of errors and their consequences are to be supported by scientific evidence collected by experts. Thus, review the literature on memory errors and use at least two peer-reviewed articles that can answer the questions above.
  • Must begin with an introduction to the selected topic in which you define all concepts that will be discussed in the paper.
  • Include a brief description of the memory errors featured in the selected news article as well as discussing potential sources and known or likely consequences according to the guidelines described above.
  • Include a conclusion expressing your thoughts about how these memory errors can be prevented or reduced, and the extent to which their often dreadful consequences can be minimized. Keep in mind that although your opinion is valuable, it needs to be supported by scientific evidence.

The Memory Errors in Real Life Paper

  • Must be three to four double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center (Links to an external site.).
  • Must include a separate title page with the following:
    • Title of paper
    • Student’s name
    • Course name and number
    • Instructor’s name
    • Date submitted
  • Must use at least two additional scholarly sources in addition to the course text. The articles that you are asked to read for this assignment (Madill, 2004; Schacter, 2012) can be mentioned in your paper and can be included in the reference section, but a minimum of two additional articles is required.
    • The Scholarly, Peer Reviewed, and Other Credible SourcesPreview the document table offers additional guidance on appropriate source types. If you have questions about whether a specific source is appropriate for this assignment, please contact your instructor. Your instructor has the final say about the appropriateness of a specific source for a particular assignment.
  • Must document all sources in APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
  • Must include a separate references page that is formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
