Consider the known health concerns for your community (BREVARD COUNTY) to identify a target audience to educate about a health promotion or primary prevention topic that will prevent the underlying cause of the health concern from contributing to illness or death, in the first place. For example: the Promotion of Immunizations can reduce, eliminate, or maintain elimination of cases of vaccine-preventable diseases in children. Another example: the Prevention of Obesity can reduce one’s risk factors for development of diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease in the adult population.I have a family member that I am working with to help stay clean.  I feel this is a very important topic due to the rise in deaths in this area.My target audience will be Addicts.  Primary prevention would be a Recovery House to assist with becoming and staying clean and off drugs and to educate about health promotion and prevention.What are the processes and the criteria you will use to select your target audience?
