Assignment 3: Process Recordings

A process recording is a written tool used by field education experience students, field instructors, and faculty to examine the dynamics of social work interactions in time. Process recordings can help in developing and refining interviewing and intervention skills. By conceptualizing and organizing ongoing activities with social work clients, you are able to clarify the purpose of interviews and interventions, identify personal and professional strengths and weaknesses, and improve self-awareness. Client wen into a deep stage of depression because she was very close with her dad before his death.  Client have issues sleeping at night, client demeanor change.   A day in the client life is very stressful and she feels that every day is the same.  During client talk about her grief and what she missed the most about her dad is talking to him every day by phone. Client also discuss that her dad was helping her financially now that her dad is not around to help her it taking a toll on her and money is a big issue. Client and her family are sad about her dad death.  Client was asked if she the person that she lost which is her dad one thing, why did he had to die.  Client was asked to name one thing she like about her dad client said her dad was funny.  Client was also asked to name one thing she learn from her dad was how to drive.  Client question herself why her dad left her. Client stated she was in denial and also had a lot of anger and experiencing depression.  Client came to terms and accept that her dad death and know what happen and she can’t change it.  Now have to cope with it.  Client has two jobs.  When client is depressed, she lays around the house all day and do nothing.  Client has an unhealthy sleeping schedule.  Client have an inconsistent appetite and doesn’t eat, when she is depressed and also have a weight problem.
