Select one of the organization’s websites and identify at least 3-4 facts about this organization and explain what it does.  Should be around 200 words. On two different paragraph give your opinion to  Armine Martirosyan and Sheena Bray with a total of two pagesArmine MartirosyanThe standard development organization that I have chosen is DICOM, which stands for Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine. DICOM formed a standard committee to formally represent all medical specialties that use imaging. This organization is the international standard to transmit, store, retrieve, print, process, and display medical imaging information. DICOM has become absolute necessary to the clinical imaging departments by providing more efficient routine production and having a clear understanding of imaging studies (AMIA, 2019). The DICOM Standards Committee has a policy of making the DICOM Standard to use and download for free. This organization makes medical imaging information interoperable and combines image-acquisition devices together from different manufacturers (DICOM, 2019). DICOM Standard has been developed and maintained to meet the advanced technologies.References:AMIA. (2019). Standards Development Organization. LOINC provides a standard way of identifying observations using approximately 41,000 observation terms. Nearly 31,000 of these terms are used for laboratory testing. LOINC codes allow you to merge clinical results from multiple sources into a single database, allowing results to be automatically sent to the appropriate place and improving patient care and clinical research.Facts:LOINC was founded in 1994 by Clem McDonald at the Regenstrief InstituteLOINC has 6 parts when doing a test.
